Directory listings across the five directories — attorneys, insurers, inspectors, contractors, and surveyors — are paid placements. Inclusion in a directory does not constitute an endorsement, referral, or recommendation by Rufkey. Placement order and visibility may be influenced by the listing terms purchased by a business.
Rufkey does not verify the quality, licensing, insurance, or conduct of any business listed in the directories. We do not perform background checks, site visits, or independent assessments of listed businesses, and we make no representation that any listed business is qualified or suitable for your needs.
Credentials, license numbers, service areas, and service descriptions shown in a listing are self-reported by the business. Rufkey does not confirm their accuracy. You must independently verify any credential, license, or insurance claim with the relevant licensing authority or insurer before engaging a business.
Where a directory listing displays a 'Format verified' label, this confirms only that the license number and state entered by the business match Rufkey's format rules. It does not mean Rufkey has verified the license against any official registry, and it is not a representation that the license is registered, valid, or current with any licensing authority. Auto-approval of a listing is based on format checks alone and does not constitute a verification of the business's credentials.
Reviews and ratings displayed on directory listings are user-submitted opinions. They are not verified by Rufkey and may not reflect the full experience of every customer. Reviews should be treated as one of several factors in your own due diligence, not as a guarantee of service quality.
Any engagement with a listed business is a direct contract between you and that business. Rufkey is not a party to any service agreement, quote, or transaction that arises from a directory listing, and we do not facilitate, escrow, or guarantee payment or performance between you and a listed business.
Rufkey does not warrant the quality, timeliness, legality, or outcome of any service provided by a listed business. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to the directory listings and any services obtained through them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rufkey disclaims all liability for any losses, damages, costs, or injuries arising from your engagement with a listed business, including but not limited to financial loss, property damage, delays, or unsatisfactory workmanship. Your sole recourse for any dispute with a business is against that business directly.
If you encounter an inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise problematic business listing, you may report it to Rufkey for review. We may investigate and remove or amend listings that violate our policies, but we are not obligated to monitor directory content and have no duty to act on every report.
