Rufkey is a peer-to-peer FSBO (for-sale-by-owner) marketplace platform. We are not a real estate broker, agent, or party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. All negotiations, agreements, and transactions are conducted directly between users.
Listings on Rufkey are user-submitted. We do not verify the accuracy, condition, title, legal status, or availability of any property listed on the marketplace. A listing's presence on Rufkey is not a representation that the property is as described or that it is available for sale.
Where a listing displays a 'Format verified' label, this confirms only that the license number and state entered by the seller match Rufkey's format rules. It does not mean Rufkey has verified the license against any official registry, and it is not a representation that the license is registered, valid, or current with any licensing authority. Auto-approval of a listing is based on format checks alone and does not constitute a verification of the seller's credentials.
Rufkey is not responsible for listing photos, descriptions, pricing, or availability claims made by sellers. Sellers are solely responsible for the content of their listings and for ensuring that it is accurate, lawful, and compliant with applicable disclosure requirements.
Buyers must perform their own due diligence before transacting. This includes title searches, professional inspections, legal review, verification of property condition, and confirmation of the seller's authority to sell. Relying solely on listing content is not sufficient.
Rufkey does not warrant that any transaction will complete successfully. We are not responsible for deals gone wrong, failed closings, financing issues, or disputes between buyers and sellers. Users transact at their own risk.
Users are advised to engage attorneys, inspectors, title professionals, and other qualified advisors before transacting. Real estate transactions involve significant legal and financial commitments, and professional guidance is strongly recommended.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rufkey disclaims all liability for losses arising from reliance on listing content or from transactions between users.
